During my recent stay at a charming hotel in the heart of Pays d'Auge, I found a notable blend of traditional charm and modern convenience. The historical architecture, reminiscent of the Château Saint-Germain-de-Livet, captured my attention, reminding me of the cultural tapestry that France offers. Our triple room, while quirky, provided comfort with two generous double beds, though the absence of a shower was a slight inconvenience. The well-kept grounds, alongside the clean shared areas, made for pleasant exploration. Dining experiences were a mixed bag; While dinner showcased delightful dishes like prawns and steak, breakfast fell short, with tasteless croissants and a malfunctioning orange juice machine. The hotel’s wellness amenities—including both indoor and outdoor pools—were a highlight, allowing us to unwind and enjoy family time. The attentive staff accommodated our language barriers with grace, enhancing our overall experience.
